DWJ Vacuum Assist Assembly

The Vacuum Assist Assembly for DWJ cutting heads is designed to improve abrasive-feed performance during piercing and low-pressure cutting conditions by helping create a controlled vacuum at the cutting head. This assembly supports cleaner abrasive draw, reduced clogging, and more reliable pierce starts on compatible Flow Dynamic Waterjet systems. It is especially useful where consistent garnet entrainment is important for maintaining cut quality and minimizing interruptions caused by unstable abrasive flow.

Service tip: Inspect the vacuum assist liner, seals, mixing chamber inlet, orifice, and mixing tube together when abrasive feed becomes inconsistent. Wear in any part of the cutting-head stack can reduce vacuum performance and lead to poor pierce quality or garnet-feed instability.
